Quality Freight Group was founded in Ireland in 1990. The business has evolved to becoming an operator in its own right as a Shareholder of Geest Ireland, operating its own feeder vessels and its own state of the art port facility at Ellesmere Port on Merseyside, UK.
History
1990
Quality Freight Ltd. established in Dublin.
1994
Geest Ireland JV Under the set up we became a vessel operator on NL / Ireland route pioneering 45ft Door Door trade.
2000
Quality Freight UK Ltd. was established.
2002
Quality Freight Ltd. acquired Edward Nicholson Ltd. which had traded over 120 years with stevedoring, agency and chartering operations at Ellesmere Port on the Manchester Ship canal.
2004
Edward Nicholson Ltd. was merged into Quality Freight UK Ltd., which now holds the long term licences at both Ellesmere Port and Liverpool Main Port.
2006
Geest Ireland And Geest North Sea Line NL sold the service to Samskip, thus allowing QFG to maintain strong European links.
2007
Quality Freight Ltd. pioneered as major shareholder the creation of Bulk Logistic Solution Ltd., a dedicated bulk food specialist. See for more information: www.bls-bulk.com

“BLS Chemical Ltd” and “Global Liner” (BLS BV) were introduced to the business. See for more information: www.bls-bulk.com
2013
Quality Freight Netherlands commenced operations in Rotterdam Port area with warehouse / office facility.
2013
Created a specialist Deepsea Forwarder Click Freight Ltd. Now fully owned by Quality Freight UK Ltd. and operating out of Ellesmere Port.
2016
Quality Freight UK Ltd. commenced operations in Alexandra Dock Liverpool: A dedicated grain facility. Quality Freight Ltd formed Quality Freight Express Freight: LCL – Trailer operations (UK/IRE).
2017
Quality Freight Ltd takes equity stake in Manifests.ie incorporating: ships agency, chartering, AEO, customs clearance and port services.
