Container Storage depots re-location to impact haulage rates
Due to infrastructural changes from the DPC (Dublin Port Company), the container storage space within the port area will be reduced drastically over the coming weeks.
As a result, shipping lines are forced to look for additional storage outside of the port area.
All empty containers will need to be returned to these alternative depots depending on Shipping lines empty container stock level. This will ultimately result in increased haulage prices.
Unfortunately, this is something that lies completely out of our control. QFG have been liaising with the shipping lines and Dublin port authorities and will continue to do so throughout this transition.
